Custom BJD
Hi! And welcome to my first Artist Ball Jointed Doll!
I would consider myself a more modern BJD artist in that I do use a resin 3D printer and high quality BJD resin to print my dolls. After many ideas and sketches, I came up with a concept of twins, Lin, happy-go-lucky, upbeat, and joyous, and Lia, mysterious, serene, and sassy. This meant that the body could be the same with the option for two different face sculpts depending on what drew people more. After that I worked with a developer to make my vision come to life. After 6 months of trial and error, wanting to quit at times, and lots of learning new high-tech equipment, Lin and Lia, were finally printed!
The journey was long and sometimes emotionally trying, but I present, The Crafty Atelier BJD Lin and Lia. Each doll can be printed in 4 different skin tones ultra white, cream white, cream pink, and bronze. The resin is meant for BJD wear and tear on joints, so it is highly durable for posing. I offer each sculpt in 1/6 scale only currently.
The following are the “kits/sets” that I offer for Lin and Lia:
- Garage Kit: includes a printed & cured doll with supplies (magnets, S hooks, elastic, sandpaper, eyes, eye tack) a DIY kit for those wanting to really customize and mod their own doll.
- Assembled Kit: includes sanded & assembled blank doll (eyes included). (Custom
faceup option is available for this kit at an additional cost.) - Full Set: includes full doll printed/sanded/assembled/sueded with eyes, wig, shoes,
clothes, and custom faceup, lashes if desired (ALL handmade).
